It is time to be true to you, to BEcome who you truly are.
We are all born perfect; it is outside influences that change us when we try to fit in to what is called “normal”.
What is “normal”?
Normal is what is usual for you.
Let go of other people’s judgments of you, shed the layers you have surrounded yourself with to “fit-in” and BECOME the real you.
Let yourself BE by letting go of all those things you “do” to try and keep others happy, to feel accepted, to feel part of a group, to feel you belong.
Honouring your true self, letting yourself BE is the path to true happiness. Learn to Love Yourself for the amazing Being that you are. Let yourself remember who you are and let yourself Love who you truly are.
Yes you are worthy of all the love you give to others and so much more. There is no one more or less special than you. Yes you are Special and you are at your most special when you are BEing you.

It is said “when one door closes another door opens”.
Stop and think for a minute, what does this mean to you? What do you understand by this?
What thoughts run through your head when you perceive this happening to you?
Everyone’s reaction is slightly different; it depends on what has happened in your life and how those things or should we say your reactions to those things, has shaped and moulded you.
Sometimes doors are closed on you, e.g. the end of a relationship, friendship, the loss of a job, an opportunity missed; and sometimes you are the one that closes the door.
Take some time to think of at least one of each that has happened in your life.
Allow the memories, the feelings; on the one hand when the door closed, possibly hurt, sadness, feelings of rejection and on the other hand when you closed the door, relief, feelings of freedom.
Now look back on the time when the door was closed on you; you have moved on, life changed, you grew and new opportunities opened up, new people came into your life.
Looking back now, how does it feel? Have you let go of the disappointment and hurt? Can you see how your life has changed?
Sometimes life closes doors for you, so that new doors can open, so that new things, opportunities and people that are waiting to come into your life can fill the gap.
There are times when each one of you has to close the door, turn round and look for the door that is opening for you.
Throughout this we have been talking about doors and doors suggest that there are walls.
Walls are barriers, yes they protect but they can and often do stop you from growing, from expanding your horizons.
You have a saying “think outside the box”, a box is also a barrier with its sides, top and bottom, you are totally enclosed.
Get rid of the box, knock down the walls and the doors become obsolete.
Next time NO is said to you say “Thank You”, look up and open to all the New Opportunities and possibilities that are opening up in front of you.
Yes it may be a little scary, suddenly what you have thought of as being safe and feeling protected, those barriers you call walls have all disappeared.
You are now open to the elements, all the wonderful elements of life that you would like to experience.
You are free to choose, to make your own choices, to say YES to your heart.
Life is a gift to be unwrapped and the box thrown away.
“Life begins outside your comfort zone”. Your comfort zone is enclosed by the walls and barriers you have created. Don’t wait for them to be knocked down by someone else. Knock them down yourself.
Stepping outside your comfort zone, knocking down the barriers, chucking the box away, doesn’t have to mean the end of friendships, relationships, your job etc, it just means you start listening to your heart, your intuition, your gut instincts.
You learn to say YES to yourself. Those that truly love you will honour your choices and it is right that you should honour theirs.
Let go of the “nay sayers”, the voice in your head that says “you can’t do that because …..”, “what about …..”, “what if …..” etc
These are the barriers that hold you back from following your heart, from living your life, from trying something new.
You are special and unique, and it is time to share these gifts that you bring with those around you and the world.
Take one step at a time, remove one brick at a time or demolish a whole wall; now is the time to start living YOUR Life and experience the richness of truly living.

Just a little background for those of you who don’t know Sara Jane
Sara Jane is the Master of Voice & Vocal Reiki, working with the energy of Toning to support people on their Healing Journey.
Sara also connects with Dragons and has been given the names of some of the Dragons that Guard over the Earth’s Crystals as well as receiving messages from them.
Friday 8th August 2014, it started like any ordinary day with all the mundane of life but in the evening Sara went to see Sika at The Shelly Theatre in Bournemouth. Sika is a Master of the Didgeridoo, Native Flute, Drum, Rattles and more – the event was called “The Sound Journey”
Sara had never experienced the energies of the Didgeridoo before and felt them mostly in her Heart and Sacral Plexus Chakras, yes a lot of personal healing occurred for which she is very grateful.
The last piece of the evening was called “Dartmoor Portal”. Sara Grew up in Devon and loves Dartmoor having spent many happy hours at Haytor, Dartmeet, Becky Falls and Spitchwick to name but a few.
The Sound transported her to the top of Haytor rock, where she stood face to the sky and arms open wide feeling the wind and the sun.
She became aware that spirits were being released; they were rising from the earth like little sparks of light floating upwards and free.
Suddenly an enormous Dragon appeared in front of her; their eyes meet and Sara just knew that she was an Earth Dragon and that with the release of the trapped souls this beautiful creature was also free. They stayed connected until the music stopped.
Sara spoke to Sika afterwards and told him what had happened, before she got to mention the fact that she was an Earth Dragon, he asked if she was; he just somehow knew as Sara did.
The story doesn’t end there, at around 3am the following morning Sara was awake and the Dragon communicated with her, letting her know that she had 2 Sister Dragons. She was the Earth Dragon of Dartmoor and her Sisters are the Water & Air Dragons of Dartmoor. She also shared their names, her name is Eraleena, the Water Dragon is Ser-ria-aleena and the Air Dragon is Petraleena and they were still trapped.
At around 6am that same morning Sara found herself standing on the cliff that overlooks the old granite quarry at the back of Haytor. In the quarry is a small lake and suddenly Ser-ria-aleena burst through the waters of the lake, free at last; it was amazing to behold.
That just left Petraleena and Sara knew that she would be freed when the time was right and in the manor fitting for her.
During Saturday there was much talk about the remnants of Hurricane Bertha and the fact that it would hit the UK on Sunday 10thAugust. Although Sara did not get to witness the freeing of the Air Dragon of Dartmoor, she knows that Petraleena was freed during those storms as they swept over Haytor.
The Dartmoor Dragon Sisters are again free to guard over and protect this beautiful part of Devon.
Just as an aside because this question occurred to Sara, “Why no Fire Dragon?” The answer was given almost instantly, because all Dragons represent Fire.
If ever you are on Dartmoor, especially near Haytor, sit quietly and see if the Dragons will make themselves known to you.

The Master of Voice & Vocal Reiki
Sara Jane works with Sound Energy in the form of Vocal Reiki and specialises in supporting people to connect with and help heal their Inner Child. One of the ways she does this is by Toning their name.
Having a short lie-in one Sunday Morning, Sara allowed her mind to wander, just letting the thoughts flow, noticing them but not trying to control them.
In the “daydream” a lady was giving birth in the back of an ambulance; Sara was there with two others she had taught to use Toning.
The two students Toned the Mother’s name – the Mother knew the gender of the child and its name – and Sara was Toning the Baby’s name welcoming it into the world.
As soon as the baby was born it was wrapped in a blanket and laid on the Mother’s chest for her to cradle and cuddle.
The baby had gone from being close to the Mother’s heart inside her to being close to her heart as it rested on her chest.
They were taken to the hospital and were allowed to stay together for about an hour resting and recovering from the experience of the birth.
The Mother was then involved in giving the baby its first bath, cleaning off the after birth and then feed it before it was briefly taken away to be weighed, then immediately returned to Mum.
The sense Sara got from this “incident” was that hearing her name being Toned relaxed the Mother making the birth easier for her.
The baby was also more relaxed, less stressed at the process it was experiencing; it sensed the love, making the birth less traumatic.
By being given straight to the Mother and being held close to her heart, it felt familiar and safe; the bond between Mother and child was strengthened by the immediate contact and the fact that they were able to rest together.
The Mother being involved in bathing and feeding the child before it was “taken away” to be weighed, caused a lot less stress and possible separation issues for them both.
The transition from womb into the world was about the Mother and Child and not about “protocols” and “procedures”.
When Sara works with an individual’s name the energy surrounding the name is pure love and an acknowledgement of who that person truly is.

If you are interested in complementary or alternative therapies and/or self help courses & workshops you have probably heard the healing process referred to as peeling another layer off the onion.
If you are not sure what is meant by healing process here is a brief explanation.
Throughout our lives we have many things happen to us, both good and not so good.
Especially when we are young the not so good because we don’t know how to deal with it usually ends up by being “put on one side”, “buried” and then “forgotten”.
Unfortunately just because we forget about them, it doesn’t mean that the hurt and pain they caused has gone; it is buried and festering.
As you start to work on yourself, usually with the support of a therapist, practitioner or course provider, the situations and hurt & pain they caused come back to the surface. Hopefully by whatever means you are using, you will be able to acknowledge what happened, deal with it and let it go.
That is the removing of a layer of the onion.
When you look at an onion you can see that it is made up of many layers, which makes it an excellent example of how the healing process works, one step, one layer at a time.
In July (2013) whilst I had a stand at the Healing Weekend held at Secret World, near Bridgwater, Somerset I was working with a client and suddenly another reason why the onion is so appropriate came to me.
Part of the healing process for many people is tears, crying and this is always seen as being very positive.
What do onions do when you are peeling them? Yes they make you cry.
Crying is a wonderful releasing mechanism and supports you in the letting go process.
So that is why the Onion

Traumatic Experiences: experiences that cause pain – both physical and emotional, uncertainty and/or feelings of loss of control of what is happening in your life.
Traumatic experiences come in many forms and guises; have you suffered the loss of a loved one such as a parent, child or partner; lost your job, your home, your family, everything you own?
Have you had a severe illness, been involved in an accident resulting in life threatening or debilitating injuries?
While you are living through the experience and its “side effects” it is very difficult, even impossible to imagine that there could be anything positive that can come out of it.
You are not alone. Many people have, are and will experience what feels like “everything going wrong”, “their life falling apart” and many other sayings that describe when things aren’t going smoothly or the way you would like them to.
Not that anything anyone can say will make it easier but sometimes it can really help to know you are not alone and in the book “No Mistakes: How you can change Adversity into Abundance” thirty one International motivational and inspirational authors and speakers share their experiences helping you to realise you are not alone.
Each one of them understands and appreciates that when you are in the middle of disruptive and challenging times it is difficult to see or be open to the fact there is a reason and that there will be a positive outcome.
Someone once said to me “You never know when you are being lucky” and it is so true. For those of you who are not sure what this means here is a simple explanation.
We have all heard or read stories about people who have missed flights or trains, who were meant to be somewhere but for whatever reason weren’t. The rest of the story was about the plane or train crashing or a building collapsing.
Most people’s reaction to missing a flight or a train is disappointment but when a disaster strikes that plane or train, their attitude changes to “how lucky” that they weren’t on board.
When you are stopped from doing something or being somewhere there is a reason, you may never know what it is but the more you learn to accept situations and adjust your actions and reactions the more you come to realise there are NO MISTAKES.
“Everything happens for a reason” ~ “Everything is in divine and perfect order right now” ~ “Wake-up call” ~ “There is no such thing as a coincidence” ~ Synchronicity

I recently had the good fortune to be speaking at the second Messenger Summit that was held near Yosemite National Park in California.
For the four days of the Summit we had glorious weather and the surroundings of the Tenaya Lodge were Beautiful. This photo was taken early one morning.

The Summit was inspirational with so many wonderful speakers and me, so as much as I would love to have spent time in the park, I chose to stay and listen to all the talks I could.
On the day of my departure it was raining but a fellow speaker and I decided we hadn’t come this far not to see a little of the Park.
As we climbed to the Fallen Tunnel Tree the rain turned to snow and this wonderful white stuff added a beauty to our surroundings that left us feeling blessed and re-energised (also cold but we coped with that). Below are a few of the photos I took and at the very top of the page is the video Anne took of me and our surroundings whilst I offered some Sound Energy to Gaia, Mother Earth.

This is part 3 of a 3 part blog; if you haven’t read the first 2 they are below and reading them will help make more sense of this one.
I have written them with the intention of helping people know they aren’t alone when it comes to feeling rejected and also to share some of the techniques I have used to help myself with my healing journey.
I have shared with you in parts 1 & 2 the experiences I had that resulted in me spending nearly 40 years of my life feeling unloved, unlovable and not good enough.
I was desperate to be liked, to be taken notice of, so much so that I spent my time trying to second guess how people would like me to be, what they would like me to say and do and too scared to do things out of the ordinary for fear of what others would think.
When I heard people say “I know who I am and I like who I am”, I really couldn’t understand, as I had no idea of who I was or how to find me.
Well the wake-up call came in late 1996 when the dentist broke my jaw whilst extracting a wisdom tooth. It took a week before we knew it was broken, at which point I went to the hospital, had a 3 hour wait and the x-rays even surprised the doctors & nurses. The following day I had a 2 hour operation to put my jaw bone back in place as best as possible (it had moved out of alignment) and it was pinned in place.
Six months of pain & sleepless nights followed; none of the pain killers or sleeping tablets I was given worked. In the end my doctor put me on morphine and referred me to the pain control clinic.
That did the trick, it broke the cycle of pain and spasm but by this time I was exhausted and I realised just how much of my life I had lived as an act. I couldn’t do it anymore, I had to find out who I was; I needed space to understand all the whys and wherefores in my life.
I asked to see a psychotherapist so that I could talk to someone about my life, what I had been doing, why I had been doing it. Ten months, that was all it took and at the end she said to me “what you have achieved in 10 months most people don’t achieve in 2 years”.
At this point I moved to Bournemouth which is where I currently live and I started to look for something that I could do to help myself. Well it is very difficult to massage yourself, especially your neck and shoulders were you tend to need it most; so what could I learn that I could do for me?
Then I heard about Reiki, as a Reiki level 1 the first person you treat is yourself, “YES” that was what I was looking for, so I did my Reiki l and made a point of “giving” myself a session every day.
I feel very blessed that my healing journey has been relatively “easy”; don’t get me wrong there were times I felt the pain of reliving experiences; I have had and still sometimes get the tears as more layers shift and clear but I am open to it, I welcome it, I actually enjoy knowing that I am growing.
What is my point in sharing all of this with you? Simple, what I have come to understand is that the only person who can heal you is you. The only person who can let go of the negative aspects of the experiences in your life is you.
Yes others can make suggestions, can guide you, can support you but only you can do the letting go and welcome the healing in. Look for what you can do for yourself and do it. Listen to suggestions but find what feels right for you. When you step up and take control of your life, your healing process, it is amazing how much more easily things happen.
Be prepared to give it time, years don’t heel in minutes; be gentle with yourself but strong ~ you can do it.
The universe gave me a wonderful gift last year. In March 2011 I was accepted to be on The Weakest Link, it was filmed on 15th March and shown on BBC 2 on 18th May 2011. Although I didn’t get a question wrong I was quoted off first.
The old Sara would have felt so rejected but I didn’t, in fact I was very calm about the whole thing and had some wonderful conversations with the staff at the studios, even getting hugs from some of them because of my attitude and the fact they were disappointed for me.
A few days later I realised the gift I had been given, the universe had shown me that I had let go of all my feelings and fears of rejection and helped me understand how our own reactions to situations create outcomes.
I hope that something here has resonated with you and that you are feeling more positive about the fact that there are “things” out there that can help and support you ~ explore the many options and go with what feels “right” for you.

Jane had a nickname “Pickle Puss”; the word “pickle” is also an affectionate term for mischievous, a little naughty ~ “you are being a pickle”, “that’s very picklish”. Which when it was said with a smile or a little laughter really helped Jane feel that it was OK, even that she was liked ~ she was too young to know the meaning of the word in this context. She felt she was being told this was who she was and this was OK.
As with all things eventually the charm wears off and “you are being a pickle” and “that’s very picklish” turned into “Don’t be such a pickle”.
That sense of rejection was back; Jane now felt she was being told not to be herself.
The word “Little” is another word for “small, petite or young” but it can also mean “insignificant”; there is a saying “Of little or no use”.
Jane’s family were living in Warrington and there was another family up the road who also had a young daughter called Jane. This Jane was a little older and so the families started to refer to them as Big Jane and Little Jane. Yes Jane was “Little” Jane and for whatever reasons she did not see it as a compliment.
By the time Jane started school in 1963 her parents had moved from Warrington to Bushey and it was when she started school that she changed her name and told everyone that she was called Sara (said Sarah).
This really confused the family but the school thought of her as Sara and so Sara it was.
Yes, this is my story, this all happened to me; to this day I still have the scar on my neck where the jumper stuck to it, a constant reminder to an accident that was the start of so many misunderstandings; of a child’s interpretation of situations and words that it was just not possible for the parents (my parents) to be able to explain because I was too young to understand.
Words: they can have different meanings depending on the context they are said or written in, the tone of voice used, even the expression on the persons face as they say them.
There is no age at which we understanding fully what the other person has meant; we all say things that others hear something different to what we meant; we all hear things and are surprised by what we are hearing ~ our interpretation).
Have you heard what the other person meant?
I’m serious ~ I could stand up in front of 100 people and say something and I could guarantee that there would be if not 100 different interpretations of what I have said, quite a few; not all 100 people will have heard what I meant.
It isn’t always down to the person who has made the comment, in a lot of cases it is the mood, the circumstances, the frustrations of the person hearing the comment or remark.
If you are “surprised” by what you hear from someone, ask “Did you mean what I heard?” (not “what you said”, because of course they meant what they said) then put into your own words what you heard. Hopefully this will help to clear the air and prevent a misunderstanding.
The same goes if you have said something and you see someone’s expression change ~ ask “What do you think I just said”, hopefully they will put it in their own words. Again it can be talked through and a misunderstanding avoided.

There are many of you out there who understand this. How many years have you felt like this? YES years.
Can you pinpoint how and when it started? Let me share a little of Jane’s story with you. This is a true story, a simplified version.
Jane was born in 1958, the first born and a very much wanted and loved little girl. Just before her first birthday in 1959 a nasty accident at home involving a boiling milk coffee resulted in her spending 3 months, including her 1st Birthday, in Liverpool Burns Unit.
In those days parents/mothers were not allowed to stay with their child, in fact the rules of the hospital at the time were that parents could only visit every other day. Worse still because of the distance her parents lived from the hospital and the fact that they only had one car; they could only visit once a week.

By the time Jane came “home”, her parents had moved so she was bought home to unfamiliar surroundings. Her mother was also heavily pregnant and the pregnancy was not going well. Jane spent a lot of time with great Aunts & Uncles or going to work with her Father.
August 1959 saw the birth of her sister Gillian, who died 9 weeks later.

Back in those days the “thoughts, guidelines” to parents were “if a child cries when you put them down to sleep; let them cry, they will eventually go off to sleep.” This was how Jane’s parents had been with both her & Gillian; Gillian’s death was classed as a cot death.
In August 1960 Jane’s sister Catherine was born and because of what had happened to Gillian every time Catherine cried their parents went running.
At a time when she need her parents most Jane felt totally rejected, unwanted and unloved. Three months in hospital at such a young age and little to no physical contact with her parents; of seeing them and wanting to go home with them and then being left behind.
Jane’s feelings of rejection didn’t stop at the stay in hospital, they were added to by coming home to unfamiliar surroundings. She then gave her love to her little sister who died ~ another perceived rejection. And then to top it all her parents went running every time her sister Catherine cried.
Research has now shown the emotional & psychological damage that extended stays in hospital without prolonged contact with the parents especially, the mother, causes. This is why Mothers today are encouraged to be with their children as much as possible and why there are also beds for them.
There are many things that happen in our lives that are out of our control. As an adult as frustrating as it is we do realise this but a young child doesn’t and there is no way that parents can explain to such young children that as much as they love them they can’t be with them when they are needed most.
Think about things that happened to you when you were younger; try thinking about them from an outsider’s point of view, an outsider who can see all of what is going on. View it with the knowledge that you have now; allowing yourself to feel what both sides were probably feeling as circumstances and rules took control of the situation.
A lot of things in life that cause the most emotional hurt involve circumstances that are out of the control of the people involved.
This story is real and is being shared for all of you that have experienced rejection of any sort that has affected your life and how you feel about yourself.
There is more and I am going to share it over a total of 3 blogs (hopefully 1 a week for 3 weeks), along with thoughts/ideas that I hope will help you overcome these feelings about yourself.
