Chapter 23 ~ From Invisible to Visible: Losing Myself Under a Narcissistic Upbringing

Sharing thoughts on: From Survival to Soul-Fullness: Reclaiming My Inner Child Through Post-Traumatic Resilience

Exploring the often-overlooked gift that can emerge from emotional trauma: post-traumatic resilience. Rooted in my lived experience growing up under the shadow of a narcissistic parent, I share how my journey of healing became a sacred reunion with my inner child—the intuitive, tender, and wise part of me that had been buried under years of people-pleasing and silence.

Rather than being defined by my past, I now see myself as an alchemist of it.

Dr. Anthony E. Wilson

Chapter 1 ~ Following My Heart: Searching for My Truth in an Unaccepting Religion

Sharing thoughts on: Spiritually Following the Wisdom of your Heart

Often, we are told by religion what to believe.  Sometimes religion defines some of us as “good people” and others as “bad people”.  With love and compassion as our guides, we can choose our beliefs and trust our inner spiritual voices.  We can choose to embrace with love people the church might reject.

Chapter 22 ~ Stay true to Yourself: Look Who’s Talking

Sharing thoughts on: The Spiritual Ego

We can say or claim all kinds of things, but are they really true for us?

“To say these things means nothing; to mean these words means everything”. Do we put flesh on these bones? Do we speak from the heart or from the mind?

As long as we believe in enemies, were are certainly not free. And when I say this I mean: seen from the deepest Reality.

On the human plane I DO see enemies (Trump, Putin etc.), but seen from the “soul level” we are all “divine”. So my “judgement” is relative, not absolute.

Chapter 3 ~ The Risk of Living My Truth: Instead of Someone Else’s

Sharing thoughts on: The Art of Letting Go of Judgement & Disappointment

Judgment and disappointment are a normal part of life but what can we do to process our thoughts and feelings in a healthy way so we can accept the situation as it is? Let’s talk about it!

Dr. Anthony E. Wilson

Anthony E. Wilson, MD, was raised in rural central Massachusetts in a close Seventh-Day Adventist religious family.  Anthony chose to pursue a career in medicine. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School in 1990 and completed his Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1993. After specializing in Primary Care and Hospital Medicine for over two decades, he completed his Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine at the Northshore and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2015. His practice focused on inpatient Palliative Care at Milford Regional Medical Center until 2022.

While in medical school, he met his husband, Jay Sorgman, MD. Soon after, they married.  They were together for 32 years until Jay died of Glioblastoma at the age of 58. Anthony has since retired from practicing medicine and has passionately shared what he has learned through writing about grief. He finds peace in spirituality, personal growth, positive psychology, and meditation. He loves hiking, traveling, personal growth retreats, piano playing, and activities with his mom, siblings, in-laws, and extended family.

Jos Smeets

My name is Jos Smeets (my pseudonym Yosiji) and I create meditative music, guided meditations, and videos, among other things. I have been involved with spirituality for about 45 years. It started with an interest in paranormal phenomena and now I am mainly focused on what you could call self-realisation.

I was born in Kerkrade, in the south of the Netherlands.
In my daily life I am a schoolteacher and a composer/video maker. Currently I am working with a number of people to explore how we could organise retreats and what form they could take. (Guided) meditation and my music will, of course, play an important role in this.

I have two websites:
http://yosijimusic.com/  (English and Dutch) and
https://www.verwondering-hetcollectief.nl/ (Dutch)

Here you can find links to music videos on YouTube.
