Project or Project
By Sara Jane
When I saw the word “project”, I immediately had one meaning in mind and then realised there was another. The same word said slightly differently with 2 meanings (As below from the Reader’s Digest Illustrated Dictionary).
Project: A plan or proposal – An undertaking requiring concentrated effort – A research undertaking
Or
Project: To thrust outward or forward – To throw forwards, hurl, impel
Which was your first thought?
Are you working on a project at the moment or are you learning to project your voice?
If you are working on a project, especially in a group, it is important for you all to be able to share your thoughts and suggestions, to project & interject.
The most important project in anyone’s life is themselves. To learn and unlearn, to experience and grow, to feel.
To love yourself, have faith, belief and trust in yourself.
To take care of you, to listen to your heart, your gut instincts, your intuition and inspiration.
Learn to stand up for yourself and do what feels right for you, what speaks to you.
Speak your truth, listen to others, be open to alternative view points and always go with what feels right for you.
Projecting your voice to be heard doesn’t have to be about raising your voice, so much as the feeling you put into it.
Sometimes being softly but firmly spoken can get a point across better than anger.
Whatever is happening in your life at the moment, do you feel in control?
If not, why not?
Is it time to call a halt, to step back, talk to all those involved and listen to how everyone feels, their thoughts and share your thoughts and feelings.
Be prepared to take the lead, encourage change, support, leave, be true to you and you will give permission to everyone else to be true to themselves.
As one member of a group or family finds their voice, the rest start to feel more comfortable to use theirs.
So is it time for a new project, one that supports you to project your voice, thoughts and feelings, supporting you to follow your path to live your life’s journey in the way that feels right for you.
