Frustration: Part of the Human Experience

By Sara Jane

Have you ever felt frustrated, angry, anxious, stressed in a situation?

Why do I ask because I have just recently when trying to purchase a new computer?

I am old school; I like to be able to go into a shop and speak to a knowledgeable assistant who can guide me towards what is best for me.

When I tried this, I was told I would have to wait 20 minutes to talk to someone – so I left and a friend looked things up for me on-line and with his help I ordered one.

Everything seemed OK until I received an email saying my card had been declined.

It took me over an hour to try and find a way of talking to my credit card company and getting it sorted.

The company’s verification process had raised a red flag so my card was stopped.

Having sorted it, I tried to get back to the company again having real difficulty finding a number to call and no email address that I could reply to.

I love technology for some of the things it enables us to do but this is an aspect that truthfully, I hate and frustrates me, making me angry.

It did eventually get sorted but cost me time and money to do it, eventually the computer arrived, now for the challenges that brings – thank goodness for help from a friend, these things are beyond me.

Frustration, anger etc are all part of the human experience and I am betting that there is something in your life that can trigger you the way technology can trigger me.

It is OK to feel these feelings, acknowledge them, accept them, understand them, just don’t let them take over everything completely.

Know yourself and what triggers you, accept yourself and all the feelings you feel, they are what helps to make up the human experiences you are here to have.

Love yourself, forgive yourself and if you can remove the things that trigger you from your life, if you can’t, avoid those situations as much as possible and if you can’t, remember these are your feelings and do your best not to take it out on others.

I know easier said than done but it is your stuff no one else’s, allow the feelings to release the tension within you and do your best to come back to the joyful and happy being you are meant to be.

After all life is about experiencing the “good” and the “not so good” and by experiencing both we can come to understand both.

Light, Love & Peace
