Let Go or Release

By Sara Jane

I have no doubt you have heard people say “let it go”

What does “let it go” mean to you?

Have you ever really thought about what it means?

Recently someone challenged the use of that term and it made me think, what do I understand by those words?

This is what came to me.

Can we really let go of anything or is it more about releasing the power that something or someone has over us?

It is about freeing ourselves from the fear created in us by another or by a situation.

Opening to our part in whatever has been going on, which has feed the energy that we have given to others to control us, manipulate, even in some cases abuse us.

We have the right to say No, whatever anyone else may say or do, that is their stuff not ours.

So rather than letting it go, we are releasing its hold over us, we are taking our power back.

Leaving in the past what happened then and not bringing it into our today, our future, letting it stay where it belongs, behind us.
