Life is like a Butterfly that Carries Wisdom Under its Wings
By Sara Jane
Butterfly
Ravenous Hunger
Hungry, curious, willing to learn
Experiencing, watching, listening, reading
Causing feelings, emotions, sensations
Shaping, moulding
Time to Sleep
Pain, whether physical or emotional
Meltdown
Oh, what a mess
Slowly coming to understand
Change is growth
Unlearning who you thought you were
Exploring and feeling into who you are
Breaking free from restrictions and constraints
Transformation
Stretch, breakout of your shell
Freeing your wings ready to fly
Spread them
Let them dry
And fly
Freedom
Feel the wind beneath your Wings
A whole new world to explore
Scent drawing me, Nectar
Life is a mysterious adventure
A journey of self discovery
To grow yourself
To know yourself
Let nature re-energies you, nurture you
Breathe in the fresh air
Feel the warmth of the sun
The kiss of the breeze
The caress of rain
You are a beautiful being of love and light
Believe and trust in yourself
Show the world the true you without apology
Our journey through life is reflected in nature, if we but let ourselves see.
The Butterfly is a beautiful example, as a caterpillar it munches through everything, devouring as it goes.
When we are young, we are curious, we are taught and take on so much of what we see and hear, shaping us.
But are we really the person that all of that has taught us to be or is the real us buried beneath the conditioning of our yearly years?
Time to unlearn, to unpick who we thought we were and it can get messy, just like the caterpillar that turns into a pupa before breaking free into a beautiful butterfly.
Once we start the unpicking process we can’t go back, we have already grown beyond where we were.
Keep going, set yourself free of those redundant learned behaviours and explore who you really are.
As we learn to fly, escaping the restraints put on us by others, our wings are supported by the wisdom gained from our experiences.
Life is a beautiful journey of ups and downs, and you are a beautiful being of light, even if you can’t see your own wings.
Namaste Sweet Soul
