Our Mindset Creates Our Life Experiences
By Sara Jane
Where does your mind keep taking you?
To the happy or sad, the good or the bad, the joy or the pain?
What are the stories it keeps telling you about your life?
The feelings and energies of your minds direction affect your body, they can raise your immunity and health or lower it.
It doesn’t matter how healthy your diet and exercise regime may be if your mind is constantly dragging you down.
How do you speak to yourself?
Do you ever praise yourself for what you have achieved, are you your own cheerleader?
Or do you only denigrate yourself when you make a “mistake” or something goes wrong?
What do you feed your mind?
In other words, what do you listen to, read, watch.
If you listen to, watch, read the news or watch documentaries about the nasty things in life, it feeds the negativity of your thoughts.
If you listen to uplifting music, watch programs filled with caring and hope, read real life stories of challenges overcome and how you can overcome your own, your thoughts are filled with the brighter and happy things of life.
It is your choice to unpick all that others have told you, you are or who you should be. To remove as much negative input from your daily life as possible and Yes, that can include people.
You can watch and feel your life change when you shift the input you allow into your life.
I know from my own experience, I haven’t read, watched or listened to the news for the better part of 30 years. I still have a sense of what is going on but I am not bombarded by it all day every day.
I love listening to instrumental music with nature sounds, what many call “new age music”.
I choose not to have an internet connected mobile phone and only have a desk top computer, which once switched off allows me my quiet times of the day, long with a daily walk in my local woods.
My life has changed beyond anything I could have thought possible from the days of insecurity and people pleasing.
My smile is genuine, I can see the beauty that surrounds me, I am grateful not only for today but everything that has ever happened in my life, including the tough stuff because I am happy and content with the simplicity of my life.
Be grateful for what you have, it can make way for more.
I share these words as food for thought, is my life “perfect”? I’d say it’s perfectly imperfect, after all I am a Soul who has chosen to have this human experience and I do my best to honour that and love myself however I respond to the challenges that come my way.
Be kind to yourself, you are a beautiful Being of Light and remember it is your choice how you react to the challenges it brings you – what are you choosing?
